Biography

Ethnologist, great-nephew and heir of Robert Gordon of St Vincent (q.v.), from whom he inherited the Spring estate.

  1. Gordon Augustus Thomson has an entry in the Dictionary of Ulster Biography, which shows him as born in Belfast and living for a period in the West Indies, dying in Melbourne in 1886. 'The principal donor of ethnographical objects to the Ulster Museum in Belfast.'
