Biography

Slave-owner on St Vincent, Member of the Council there until he 'entirely quitted' the island in 1776. He was the grantor of a series of annuities totalling £325 p.a. in 1771 secured on his estate and enslaved people purchased by a group of London merchants, lawyers and MPs. He was possibly the Rowland Ash jun. who had been active on Antigua in the mid-1750s.
