Awarded half the compensation for Mapps estate in Barbados with Rev. Richard Smith (q.v.). Son of Robert Allen of Lymington (administration of whose will, made in 1808, was granted in 1833) and brother of Henrietta Louisa, Eliza, Mary Elizabeth, Charlotte and Henry Allen, and possibly father of the infant Henry George Acklom [sic] Allen identified in the claim.

In 1861 and 1871, Robert Allen was living at Seymour Villas Penge (aged 68 and 78 respectively) identified as Rector of Barcombe Sussex (in 1861 specifically as "without cure of souls") in both cases with his wife Mary. In 1841 he appears at the Rectory Barcomb [sic] with his wife Mary, both aged '45'.
Will of Rev. Robert Allen formerly of Barcombe but lately of Ty Gwyn Lymington who died 19/09/1877 at Barcombe, Rector of Barcombe and Prebendary of Exceit in Chichester Cathedral proved 12/10/1877 by Henrietta Louisa Price widow of Ty Gwyn sister and Henry Daniell banker, personal estate under £10,000.
