Husband of Sarah White and son-in-law of David White (q.v.). Shown as late of Milford Lodge in the will of his sister-in-law Frances Marlton (q.v.) whose executor he was.

The will of William Gaven of Armagh Sligo [and of Nutfield in Surrey and now residing at Ridgeway in the town of Lymington] proved 06/07/1846 is tied to the William Gaven of the award for the enslaved people on Whitehall through the presence in the will as a legatee of the daughter of William Glynne Griffith (q.v.), who also appears in that award. There is no other evidence in the will of Jamaica property or a marriage to Sarah White: the will refers to William Gaven's wife as Jane.
