Clergyman of East Dereham Norfolk, beneficiary under the will of Martha Fleming Ottley (q.v.), probably his wife's aunt: Charles Hyde Wollaston had married Sarah Willett Ottley, the daughter of William Ottley of St Kitts in 1795. There was other intermarriage between the Wollaston and Ottley families. Charles Wollaston (q.v.) was his cousin.
Admitted as a pensioner at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge 2 April 1789. 5th son of the Rev. Francis Wollaston. Precentor of St David's, and Rector of Chislehurst, Kent. Born in Charterhouse Square, London. School, Charterhouse. Admitted to Sidney Sussex in 1789, BA in 1793 (14th wrangler). Migrated to St Catharine's College 30 March 1795; M.A. 1796. Vicar of East Dereham with Hoe, Norfolk, 1806-50. Married, 2 March 1795, Sarah Willett Ottley, the daughter of William Ottley, of St Kitts. Died 24 March 1850. Father of William C. The will of Sarah Willett Wollaston widow late of East Dereham but now of Bryanston Street was proved 22/03/1851. In the will she left 4 groups of stocks totalling £68,000 to her grandchildren, one moiety subject to a life interest of her cousin Clemencie Gurford. She left the residue of her personal estate and her land at East Dereham to her son the Rev. William Charles Wollaston.
